This performance is currently under development.
It will have a public performance at Cambridge Junction in their Work in Progress evening on 25 May 2022.
Inspired originally by Alice Oswald’s poem, Dunt: Poem for a Dried Up River
below is a film of an early iteration.
Although the piece has moved on considerably from its origin, and now uses masks, it retains a sense of history, generational influence, and relationships between human and environment. The work progresses inwards, using masks and puppets, to create an imaginary world in the mind of the performer , shared with the viewers through sound, song and words. It journeys from large scale to microcosm, looking at damage, energy and hope.
