A three day walk to Canterbury inspired by Russel Hoban’s Riddley Walker, with puppet fragments, friends, and passers by.

Walking the Riddle was a walk-work with shadow performances.
An invited audience walked with me part of a longer journey. The “Trubba” sack contained fragments of puppets . The puppet pieces, gathering power on their journey, created a brief shadow play on the closed doors of Canterbury Cathedral on interaction, inclusion and exclusion. Conversations with passers by (and a policeman) focused on my carrying fragments of a divided society.
