Relationships with “Nature”

My recent work has explored human relationships with “Nature”. Imagery has emerged from stories of the Green Man, Christic sacrificial imagery of man strung up on a tree wearing thorns, and Durer’s world of intense and focused attention to the surroundings.

After Durer's engraving of the Knight's Journey on horseback with death on a nag, dog and curios monster.
Copy of Durer engraving 1513 of Knight’s journey, death alongside him, his dog, and a curious monster,

The walks draw upon this imagery for their form and aesthetic, of accompaniment, purpose, companionship, and inclusion, and are also deeply influenced by reading Russell Hoban’s Riddley Walker .http://riddley-walker.narod.ru/Book/RussellHoban-RiddleyWalker.html
